The Gidela Japanese pendant light pairs a hand-shaped mulberry washi paper shade with a metal frame. Its translucent surface softens the light, bringing an airy, sculptural presence to dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and entryways.
Inspired by Japanese lanterns, the shade creates a gentle, diffused glow reminiscent of candlelight or sunlight passing through a shoji screen. Its understated form complements minimalist interiors without overwhelming the room.
Choose a single pendant for a pared-back look or a 2, 3, or 5 pendant composition for a more architectural arrangement. Each pendant has its own cable, allowing you to vary hanging heights and personalize the layout.
For a warmer atmosphere, use an Edison-style filament bulb rated from 2200 K to 2700 K. Compatible E26 or E27 LED bulbs can also be used.
Each shade is assembled by hand with paper and glue. Slight glue marks may be visible along the edges; these are part of the handmade character rather than a defect.
Designed for indoor use, Gidela connects directly to the ceiling. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.
